Tussie Mussie

A fun day for me. I am finally getting to use a few dies that i helped develope.  This was one that i posted about the other day that i was so excited to recieve! It is hard to belive that such a simple looking AccuCut die can create such a lovely party favor. I Helped develope this die with the holidays in mind as well as weddings favors...or just to pretty up a door in your house.  This would be a great die for a party planner how cool would it be to have custom tussie mussies to give away...filled will indulgent treats?.

Tomorrow

I leave for Brazil for 10 days...I am sure i will not see to much of these beautiful beaches like the one in the photo here because....(insert drum roll here) I am teaching in 12 different locations across the country in 8 days...that is 9 airplanes (including travel to and from the US)...more take-offs and landings than i care to count....Is this what they call the immersion technique. Maybe I will come home speaking Portuguese (or not)....

In any-case I am extremely excited.  I cannot wait to meet my students...see my hosts Anna, Tarcisicio, and Mauro of Repetico. They are such dear sweet people. I am sure this will be quite the adventure with plenty to blog about.

okay...off to do some more packing. organize a bit more of my house....and i will blog my new AccuCut projects a bit later.

Look what I found on my Doorstep

UPS was good to me...I got  these FaBu new dies to play with! I am gonna have me a bit of creative time. How cool is that. I promise....promise to make a few things with my new dies and post them tomorrow before i take another 10 day blog hiatus.....

I head to Brazil in 2 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay gotta go...gotta get a few more things done!

Quite the project.

So, i  took on the worlds largest decoupaging project (OKay maybe not the worlds largest...but the largest project in *my* world) This wall of book cases is 16' long and appox 7' tall. I decoupaged every square inch (with a some help from my friend Brenda, thanks goodness for her) the decoupage alone took 60+ hours and about a gallon and a half of matte finish modge podge, 3 dictionaries, a thesaurus, a poetry book, a shorthand text book , some sheet music and a few chinese fortunes to finish it off... After the glue set my husband and i stained the bookcases and brenda helped me stain the shelves....followed by a couple coats of sealer.....wholy cow that was a long process. I wore the skin off my middle finger of my left hand with my paint brush.(not the best finger to show off injuries on!)

any whoo after all is said and done the shelves look great filled with fab albums waiting to be filled with memories.

July 15th

She's Thirteen!

Wow....the day has finally come. I officially have 2 teenage daughters. Sophia, is 13....I just had to give a shout out to her. She is one amazing young woman, that i love very much. Every day with her is a gift. She make me think about things in a way i never would on my own....she makes me laugh. She is beautiful from the inside out....She makes me proud to be a mom.

Meet Lulu

After a two week hiatus from blog land I am back. I have been so busy, that of course my blog suffered yet another dose of neglect.

Lulu, was one of the projects i had to complete before i could once again begin blogging.

She is made entirely of  Creative Imaginations papers, and AccuCut Dies and Machines....yes i did say machines...3,000 die cuts later we have a dress.
